<p>Mein neustes Gadget ist ein Beacon von <a href="https://ruuvitag.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Ruuvitag</a>, mit mehreren Funktionen:</p>
<ul>
<li> out-of-the-box funktioniert es als Sensor für Temperatur, Feuchtigkeit und Luftdruck. Dank IP67 kann es sowohl drinnen als auch draußen verwendet werden, um die Wetterdaten anzuzeigen. Der Beacon sendet diese Daten als Webseite via Bluetooth (Googles Konzept <a href="https://google.github.io/physical-web" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Physical Web</a>) an Android-Smartphones &gt; 4.4 mit der Funktion Nearby oder an Beacon-Scanner wie nRF Connect (siehe Foto rechts unten).</li>
<li>Mit der Eddystone-Firma kann er / es als normaler Beacon Verwendung finden.</li>

<ul>
<li>Mit der Eddystone-Firmware kann auch eine beliebige Webadresse via Bluetooth (Physical Web) übertragen werden, um so lokale Informationsangebote bereitzustellen, eine Form des Internet of Things (IoT). Der entscheidende Vorteil ist, dass keine separate App wie normalerweise bei Beacons notwendig ist, um die ID-des Beacons auszuwerten und Informationen bereit zu stellen. Nachteilig ist, dass aktuell nur eine eingeschränkte Anzahl von modernen Smartphones in der Lage sind, mit Physical Web Informationen umzugehen.</li>
</ul>
<p>In Berlin nutzen bereits die <a href="http://mobmoments.com/fallstudien/beaconinside-mobile-lokale-vermarktung-beacons/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Snackautomaten in den U-Bahn-Stationen</a> diese Funktion zur Übertragung von Informationen. Weitere Anwendungen werden folgen.</p>
<p>Damit sind die Möglichkeiten aber noch nicht ausgeschöpft, der Ruuvitag erlaubt auch interaktive Funktionen und eigene Programmierung.</p>
